Kevin Costner is reportedly facing financial challenges as he works to complete his ambitious Western epic, Horizon: An American Saga. The multi-part film series, which Costner has self-financed in large part, has received critical attention for its sweeping scope but has struggled to achieve strong box office results.
According to industry insiders, Costner is now seeking additional investors to help fund the remaining installments of the saga. Despite the setbacks, the Oscar-winning actor and director remains committed to finishing the project, which he views as a passion piece showcasing the spirit and struggles of America’s frontier era.
“I believe in this story,” Costner said in a recent interview. “It’s something I’ve wanted to tell for decades, and I’m not giving up on it.”
The first two chapters of Horizon were released in 2024, with the next parts still in development pending financial backing.
